More Than Just A Place To Sleep
With Our Wide Array of Amenities, There's Something For Everyone

Hot Tubs
Each of the three big houses has its own seven person hot tub. A great way to unwind in after a day of hectic adventure, or a day of total indulgence. We put no curfew on their use, so you can appreciate the extraordinary bright night skies with the refreshment of your choice.

Sauna
Each house has its own internal sauna. Great after a tough cycle, a day on the water, or four hours on the hill. Soothe your muscles, sweat out those toxins, and rejuvenate your body and mind in time for a sociable dinner.

Tennis Court
Wimbledon it isn't, but our court was resurfaced in 2024, and is playable in most conditions bar heavy rain or ice. It must have some of the nicest views of any tennis court in Scotland. We provide adult and children's racquets - and balls!

Bicycles
Serious cyclists will bring their own bikes. For those with a lycra-free wardrobe, looking for a gentle meaner around the area, our set of a dozen bone-shakers will do the job just fine. we have bikes for kids and adults. The area is very accessible for cyclists. Explore the beautiful surroundings at your own pace. Perfect for families and seekers, our bikes are available free of charge!

Games Cottage
This is a fab facility for kids of all ages from 8 to 80. Our scruffy old Games Cottage features an outdoor table tennis table as well as an indoor one upstairs, and a pool table downstairs. We have a darts board on each floor. Simultaneous dart playing and pool playing isn't recommended. We cannot be held responsible for injuries caused, or family arguments over who is actually the best ping pong player. You need to police your own over-competitive Dads....

Outdoor Games
Families and Groups have held full-on Highland Games, Treasure Hunts and Mini-Olympics in our 27 acre grounds. For the less ambitious and creative, there's a five a side sized football pitch in the front field - occasionally shared with sheep. The recently resurfaced tennis court sits just above it. The attrition rate on our croquet hoops and balls, bags used for Corn Ball, and jacks for Boules sometimes makes us think that Glendaruel is a modern "Bermuda Triangle" for sports equipment. But we do our best to replenish stocks.

Golf Clubs for Adults & Kids
The magnificent Kyles of Bute course is a gorgeous 20 minute drive away. Designed by James Braid and with breath-taking views, this challenging 9 hole course is almost unique. Take dogs, share clubs, wear jeans, this is the opposite of the formal, stuffy, hidebound experience of so many posh golf clubs. There are a few similarly informal courses within easy driving distances plus a couple more normal / formal 18 holers. We have several sets of golf clubs available for you to borrow.

Video and Board Games
It never really rains in Scotland, so you don't necessarily need indoor distractions. But just in case you are incredibly unlucky with the weather, along with full Sky TV we provide a great selection of indoor games like Trivial Pursuit, Monopoly, Articulate, Scrabble, Pictionary etc. You will always find a few Jigsaws, plus Chess and Draughts, Backgammon etc. We also have four complete Murder Mystery Games for which we can provide details in advance if required.
